Lakeshore Division Goose Pasture Crewneck

Every fall the sandhill cranes stop at Jasper-Pulaski Fish & Wildlife Area on the way south, tens of thousands of them in a good year, and in the last hour before sunset they pour into Goose Pasture in waves you hear before you see. People drive down from Chicago for it and stand on the viewing platform in the cold. The cranes jump and bow out in the field, and nobody who has watched it forgets it.

On the crew: two cranes drawn in one unbroken line on the back, the viewing tower small in the corner, and the place and the month written underneath by hand. One crane head sits on the left chest, Jasper-Pulaski runs down the left forearm, and the dune-grass mark sits at the right cuff.

Garment dyeing means slight color variation from piece to piece. Machine wash cold, tumble dry low.
